Distances on the Cinderhill branch are measured from a zero point at Highbury Vale, with 30 added to the value. The logic of this allows the future Line 2 and Line 3 extensions to be be continued onward from Station Street.

Last mast on the Cinderhill branch at Phoenix Park - 1 Km 269 m from Zero point at Highbury Vale. This in the car park and is the support mast for the non preferred platform. The adjacent mast for the preferred platform is PP 31 234. It is not 35 metres from the last mast, so I have my doubts about the official explanation as given on NETTrams@yahoogroups!
