SPAS warning light. Signal Passed at
stop. Light under the shade flashes
blue if a tram passes a signal at stop.
Failing to stop at a blue flashing SPAS is consider by the HMRI as a
SPAD signal passed at danger. If a tram
passes a signal at stop, but stops at the SPAS then it is not a SPAD. Location: Hucknall

Give Way Location: Hucknall
south of tram stop. Note: The signalled
section from Butler's Hill ends
at this point (the section beyond is within the "Limit of Shunt" at
Hucknall tramstop, and operates purely on a line-of-sight basis -
trams can proceed southbound as far as the
"LOS" sign on the reverse of that post,
without entering the signalled section to Butler's Hill, in order to shunt
from one platform to the other).

Compulsory Stop Location: Highbury
Vale, Cinderhill branch, southbound at the end of the platform. There is also one on the Highbury Vale
mainline platform, just making Highbury Vale a compulsory stop southbound. This is to ensure trams are moving slowly
across the junction for line of sight operation. There is also a give way sign immediately
before the junction as well coming of the Cinderhill branch. The mainline has priority over the branch. © |
