The Forest tram stop

First time round the tram stopped to reverse.  This gave a 10 min photo stop.  Trams are only use the middle road for training purposes and emergencies.  However the first and last trams in and out to Station St use the middle road to keep the points awake!

Theatre Royal Crossover.

After reversing at The Forest, the tram, went back to the Royal Centre tram stop where the tram reversed.  The crossover here is designed for turning back trams from the north only.  It can not be used for turning back trams the other way due trams fouling the road junction with Talbot St.  Lynette our second driver is changing the points, whist Andy Wood, waits in the cab.

In order to minimise disruption to service trams, the special followed behind a service tram to the next stop.  Here tram 201 pulls across the Talbot St junction on a Phoenix Park Service, run 3.  WE followed this tram all the way to Phoenix Park
