All 15 trams are named.  The names were selected by the people of Nottingham through various polls run by the local media.

201 Torvill and Dean Local ice skaters who were gave up work following sponsorship by the City of Nottingham in order that they could concentrate on their sport.  They became champions at European, World and Olympic levels, and made history as the first couple to get a perfect 6 score.
